The Gmail data file seems to be an OST file previous system (before the clean install) started with Windows 7, then was upgraded to Windows 8.1 then upgraded to Windows 10, and Office 2010 was upgraded to Office 2013 then upgraded to Office 2016. Looks like none is working, Its working with WIndows Live, but not Outlook 2016. When I try to set this to Gmail, it says you cannot set the default to a non-standard OST or PST file. Outlook 2016 Gmail Settings: Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Fail I tried all options SSL 993, TLS 465, 587 and Automatic setup by Outlook, Manual setup. ![]() I believe the determining factor for which inbox is the default is determined by which account is the default in the data tab of Account Settings. Before I did the reinstall, mail would open to my Gmail ![]() I have several email accounts defined in Outlook, including Imap Gmail, MSN, and a roadrunner account. I have just rebuilt my system with a clean install of Windows 10 and Office 365 (2016).
